CEHRDF Chief Executive Md. Ilias Miah participated in the Roundtable Discussion on Mental Health, organized by the Ndinewe Foundation, during the 2nd World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2) in Doha, Qatar.

As the Chief Executive of the Centre for Environment, Human Rights & Development Forum (CEHRDF), I shared perspectives from Bangladesh and Cox’s Bazar, highlighting the urgent need to integrate mental health into the global social development agenda, especially for youth, refugees, and climate-affected communities.

Mental health is not a privilege — it is a human right. Ensuring emotional well-being and psychosocial support is essential for achieving inclusive and sustainable societies where everyone can thrive with dignity.
