COX’S BAZAR — In an effort to promote festive solidarity and uphold human dignity among marginalized communities, the Centre for Environment, Human Rights & Development Forum (CEHRDF), in partnership with Jonopod Foundation, distributed essential Eid supplies and food packages to underprivileged women and children across Cox’s Bazar Sadar and surrounding municipal areas.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and guided by the foundational principle of "Leave No One Behind" (LNOB), the humanitarian initiative targeted vulnerable households facing heightened economic hardship ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Organizers emphasized that genuine sustainable development and social justice must begin with meeting the immediate, basic needs of frontline, underserved populations. The distribution aimed to ensure that impoverished families and children can experience the joy and warmth of the festival without the distress of economic deprivation.
Both CEHRDF and Jonopod Foundation reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing grassroots social welfare, community resilience, and food security, pledging to sustain targeted humanitarian interventions for vulnerable and displaced populations across the Cox's Bazar region.
