COX’S BAZAR — Marking a decade of sustained organizational growth and human rights advocacy, the Centre for Environment, Human Rights & Development Forum (CEHRDF) convened a specialized Leadership Workshop aimed at preparing an emerging cohort of youth leaders to lead frontline, transformative action.
Over the past ten years, CEHRDF has systematically established its core institutional architecture, formalizing strategic policies, organizational frameworks, program designs, and a long-term operational vision. Alongside sustained grassroots interventions in human rights, environmental stewardship, and civic transformation, the forum has expanded its institutional reach into multilateral engagement, global networking, and United Nations negotiations across key international platforms.
Addressing the participants, forum leadership emphasized that CEHRDF’s next decade of impact depends on building a cadre of faithful, disciplined, transparent, accountable, and visionary young leaders. To operationalize the organization's strategic vision at the field level, emerging leaders must possess both moral clarity and executive competence, translating high-level multilateral commitments into measurable, community-centered realities.
The workshop highlighted that CEHRDF's youth leadership carries a mandate that extends beyond local boundaries. In an increasingly polarized and unequal world, the forum’s emerging leadership network represents the voices, aspirations, and fundamental rights of over four billion marginalized and underserved people across the Global South.
Participants engaged in focused sessions on civic accountability, institutional governance, ethical leadership, and participatory field mobilization. The workshop concluded with actionable roadmaps designed to empower emerging leaders to take immediate ownership of civic and rights-based initiatives across their communities.
